🌟 Elevate Your Performance with Improv 401! 🌟 It's time to turn your improv fundamentals into a show! Improv 401 focuses on applying your skills to the stage and culminates in a 25-minute improv show inspired by a monologue. What to Expect: 🎭 Advanced Scenework Skills: Hone your ability to create compelling, believable, and emotional scenes. 🗣️ Expand Your "Yes-And" Techniques: Master the art of agreement and collaboration to build dynamic scenes. 🌟 Pull Inspiration: Learn to draw from various sources to inspire your performances. 🤝 Intermediate Improv Skills: Dive into side support, heightening, point-of-view, and game-of-the-scene. 🎉 Build a Comedy Show: Collaborate with your teammates to create a funny and cohesive performance. Prerequisites: Completion of Improv 101, 201, and 301 at Kismet Improv. If you have commensurate training elsewhere, please email us at classes@kismetimprov.com before registering. Showcase: SATURDAY May 2 at 5:30 p.m. Instructor: Rebecca Thorndike-Breeze A fixture of the Kismet stage since 2023, Rebecca currently performs with the Friday night longform team PARENTHETICAL and coaches the musical improv ensemble FREERANGE. As Kismet’s Co-Owner and Artistic & Education Director, she draws on her professional background in collaborative pedagogy to center an "ensemble-first" mindset. Rebecca has trained at Improv Boston, Union Comedy, Kismet Improv, and iO in Chicago.

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.

We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.

Our performers and teachers have trained nationwide. We proudly feature alumni from Second City, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovBoston, Improv Asylum, Union Comedy, Wage House and the Providence Improv Guild.
