๐ŸŒŸ Step into the Spotlight with Improv 301! ๐ŸŒŸ This dynamic course is your next step toward mastering the art of improvisation, culminating in a dazzling showcase of two-person scenes. Whether you've just finished 201 and are ready to level up, or if you want to keep on honing your scenework skills, IMPROV 301 is for you! What to Expect: ๐ŸŒ Master Scenework Fundamentals: Understand the base reality to anchor your scenes in a shared, relatable world filled with humor. ๐ŸŽญ Deep Dive into Scene Work: Learn to craft and respond to the "who," "what," and "where" of any scene, making your performances captivating. ๐Ÿค Build Relationships, Environments, & Characters: Develop rich relationships, immersive environments, and memorable characters, becoming a versatile and compelling performer. Prerequisites: Kismet Improv 101 + 201 (or 101/201) If you have relevant training or experience but haven't taken these classes, please email classes@kismetimprov.com before registering. Showcase: Saturday, FEB. 7 at 6 p.m. Instructor: Jessie Aufiery Instructor bio: Jessie Aufiery is a literary translator, fiction writer, and improviser with a background in stand-up comedy, all shaped by a life spent moving between diverse cultures. Growing up in Philadelphia and living in places like Lille, France; Montaldeo, Italy; New York; Paris; Miami; and Rhode Island has deepened her appreciation for the ways languages, traditions, and art forms intersect. As a translator, she focuses on bringing literature and comics to new audiences, carefully attending to the nuances of voice and cultural meaning. Her experience in stand-up and improvisation has sharpened her ability to embrace spontaneity and humor, enriching her writing and creative work with a distinctive, grounded levity. Jessie has been performing with Kismet Improv House Teams for several years, most recently on Crab Dog, Kiss of the Narwhal, and the ArcheHypes. She also teaches stand-up comedy.

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.
