What to expect: ๐ŸŒŸ Learn the basics: Dive into the core principles of improv. ๐Ÿ˜† Have a blast: Enjoy easy, fun games that boost confidence and creativity. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Improve communication: Interactive exercises will enhance your skills. ๐Ÿค Make friends: Connect with fellow beginners and share lots of laughs. Why Take Improv? Boost confidence: Feel more comfortable speaking in front of others. Think on your feet: Improve your quick thinking and problem-solving skills. Enhance creativity: Unlock new ways of thinking and expressing yourself. Teamwork: Learn to collaborate and support others in a fun environment. Improv 101 is a must for everyone starting at Kismet. Once you complete Improv 101, you can move on to Improv 201 or our other courses. Instructor: Amy Kahn A native Rhode Islander, Amy has been performing improv since 2002. She is a regular at Kismet, both as our short-form coach and as house team player. She has trained with the Groundlings School, Impro Theatre, and Freestyle Love Supreme Academy, as well as with top instructors from London to Los Angeles. Amy has been featured on the web series UJokes and Come Inside, and she currently performs with Shakespearean improv group Bard to the Bone, Bit Players (Rhode Island short-form favorites), and Whatever Fate Decides, which brings tarot-inspired improv to festival stages. Amy brings this range of character-driven shortform and longform expertise to her teaching, which ensures that every student has a great learning experience.

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.

With a series of rotating shows, Kismet's commitment to keeping audiences rolling laughing has quickly made them a mainstay in Rhode Island's growing comedy hub. We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.
