About this Class

Elevate your scene work by diving deeper into scene composition! Take full advantage of the stage, learn how to increase the drama, tension, and comedy by exploring the physical space of the scene, and learn more about working with your fellow players to create dynamic, visually interesting scenes! Instructor Tim Costa will explore staging and blocking, looking at ways scenes can be staged for maximum visual and dramatic impact. Together, you'll analyze cinematic blocking from films and discuss how to apply it to the stage. Participants will also get plenty of practice putting those skills to use and exploring the stage. Tim Costa has been a performer at Kismet since 2023, and became Kismet's Music Director in the Fall of 2025. He also enjoys writing and watching as many movies as his schedule will allow (567 this year, so far).

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.
