About this Class
The Groundlings Theatre is known for the comedic characters their alumni have created. In this workshop, Brian will teach some of the same techniques that alums such as Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy and Jennifer Coolidge used to heighten their performances. Learn how to find characters, define their points of view, embody them, how to best use them in improvs, etc. This is super fun silliness with a specific goal of adding another dimension to your improv skill set. Brian Palermo is an engaging actor and comedian with an impressive resume of performances in television, film and top comedy venues. He’s a 30 year improv veteran who loves to share all aspects of this stuff! Brian's played with a lot of groups but The Groundlings was his home theatre and biggest influence. He’s performed in over 2,000 sketch and improv shows! And now he mostly teaches internationally and online.
