๐ŸŒŸ Elevate Your Performance with Improv 401! ๐ŸŒŸ It's time to turn your improv fundamentals into a show! Improv 401 focuses on applying your skills to the stage and culminates in a 25-minute improv show inspired by a monologue. What to Expect: ๐ŸŽญ Advanced Scenework Skills: Hone your ability to create compelling, believable, and emotional scenes. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Expand Your "Yes-And" Techniques: Master the art of agreement and collaboration to build dynamic scenes. ๐ŸŒŸ Pull Inspiration: Learn to draw from various sources to inspire your performances. ๐Ÿค Intermediate Improv Skills: Dive into side support, heightening, point-of-view, and game-of-the-scene. ๐ŸŽ‰ Build a Comedy Show: Collaborate with your teammates to create a funny and cohesive performance. Prerequisites: Completion of Improv 101, 201, and 301 at Kismet Improv. If you have commensurate training elsewhere, please email us at classes@kismetimprov.com before registering. Showcase: SATURDAY Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. Instructor: DEEJ Instructor bio: Daniel James Shafer (DJ or deej) is a multi-talented artist who lives in Providence, Rhode Island. He is an actor, improviser, music producer, and teacher. deej received his acting BFA with a minor in musical theater from Michigan State University. After that, he spent three years professionally living and working in Chicago, IL. He co-produces Kismet's Signature show, HOUSE PARTY, and coaches TV-inspired Harold team BROUGHT TO YOU BY. deej also regularly performs on HOUSE PARTY, and you can catch him this season with BANANAFISH. He's also performed with The ArcheHYPEs, Hot Popsicle, The Pop Hearts, and Hot Town. deej is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach improv. He believes that early exposure to the arts can positively impact one's confidence, growth, and overall sense of self. He is eager to share his passion for the arts with all his students.

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.
