Improv 401 focuses on applying your skills to the stage and culminates in a 25-minute improv show inspired by a monologue. What to Expect: 🎭 Advanced Scenework Skills: Hone your ability to create compelling, believable, and emotional scenes. 🗣️ Expand Your "Yes-And" Techniques: Master the art of agreement and collaboration to build dynamic scenes. 🌟 Pull Inspiration: Learn to draw from various sources to inspire your performances. 🤝 Intermediate Improv Skills: Dive into side support, heightening, point-of-view, and game-of-the-scene. 🎉 Build a Comedy Show: Collaborate with your teammates to create a funny and cohesive performance. Prerequisites: Completion of Improv 101, 201, and 301 at Kismet Improv. If you have commensurate training elsewhere, please email us at classes@kismetimprov.com before registering. Showcase: SATURDAY Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. Instructor: Brad Rohrer Instructor bio: Brad Rohrer is a founding performer, longtime coach, and teacher at Kismet Improv, bringing nearly 20 years of experience to the Rhode Island improv scene. You can see Brad performing and coaching longform improv every week at Kismet's House Party. Additionally, he co-hosts the Funbearable Podcast and regularly performs at the Comedy Connection. Brad trained at the legendary iO theater in Chicago, IL. In his improv classes, Brad always emphasizes the importance of listening and responding authentically, ensuring that scenes are dynamic and engaging. Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.

With a series of rotating shows, Kismet's commitment to keeping audiences rolling laughing has quickly made them a mainstay in Rhode Island's growing comedy hub. We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.

Our performers and teachers have trained nationwide. We proudly feature alumni from Second City, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovBoston, Improv Asylum, Union Comedy, Wage House and the Providence Improv Guild.
