🌟 Step into the Spotlight with Improv 301! 🌟 This dynamic course is your next step toward mastering the art of improvisation, culminating in a dazzling showcase of two-person scenes. Whether you've just finished 201 and are ready to level up, or if you want to keep on honing your scenework skills, IMPROV 301 is for you! What to Expect: 🌐 Master Scenework Fundamentals: Understand the base reality to anchor your scenes in a shared, relatable world filled with humor. 🎭 Deep Dive into Scene Work: Learn to craft and respond to the "who," "what," and "where" of any scene, making your performances captivating. 🤝 Build Relationships, Environments, & Characters: Develop rich relationships, immersive environments, and memorable characters, becoming a versatile and compelling performer. Prerequisites: Kismet Improv 101 + 201 (or 101/201) If you have relevant training or experience but haven't taken these classes, please email classes@kismetimprov.com before registering. Showcase: Saturday, July 11 at 5 p.m. Instructor: DEEJ Instructor bio: Daniel James Shafer (DJ or deej) is a multi-talented artist who lives in Providence, Rhode Island. He is an actor, improviser, music producer, and teacher. deej received his acting BFA with a minor in musical theater from Michigan State University. After that, he spent three years professionally living and working in Chicago, IL. He produces and performs with Kismet Improv's HOUSE PARTY in Pawtucket, performing with Bananafish, The ArcheHYPEs, Hot Popsicle, The Pop Hearts, and Hot Town. deej is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach improv. He believes that early exposure to the arts can positively impact one's confidence, growth, and overall sense of self. He is eager to share his passion for the arts with all his students.

Cancellation Policy

Please email classes@kismetimprov.com if you need to cancel your class enrollment or space rental. If you need to withdraw from a class, you can apply your registration fee as a credit toward a future class. However, if you withdraw within 48 hours of the class start time or after the class has already started, you will not be eligible for a credit transfer.

We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.

Our performers and teachers have trained nationwide. We proudly feature alumni from Second City, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovBoston, Improv Asylum, Union Comedy, Wage House and the Providence Improv Guild.
