ABOUT THE COURSE
Over the course of 4, low pressure weeks, we will explore the basic building blocks of creating improvised moments, learn how to draw inspiration from our own experience, collaborate as a team, and have a great time supporting one another!
INSTRUCTOR
Ayla Ahlquist
Ayla (she/her) runs Kismet's day-to-day operations and oversees all our comedy classes and teachers. Ayla is a Providence-raised filmmaker, writer, and performer who has been on the comedy scene since 2017. A film producer and teacher by trade, her passion is helping others find a story they want to tell and figuring out exactly how to bring their vision to life. In the improv classroom, she tries to use this skill set to remind students that their unique voices and experiences are stories worth sharing. In her own work, she is most excited by vivacious characters, unexpected endings, and deeply emotive, personified food.
